$50,000 working part time
I make about $50,000 every year, working 20 hours per week while going to school full time. Where does that money come from? It’s a combination of scholarship overflow and income from a part-time job. Let me break down how I earn money computer coding.
You may not know this, but often if you are given more scholarships than university costs, the student receives the overage. Because I have earned and been blessed with generous private and public scholarships, I receive a bi-annual check for attending school. That means about $16,000 of that income comes from scholarships.
In Fall of 2019, I started working part-time for a large agriculture company. I started out earning $21/hour and half a year after that I started earning $28/hour. There, I do cloud security (although I’m currently on a leave of absence). If you want to know more about what a cloud security engineer does- that blog post and YouTube video is coming! Subscribe to my email list and you’ll receive an email when I post about this and other programming and engineering content.
